Town Hall Meeting

September 8, 2014

I would like to personally thank all members who were  able to attend our Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday.  The management and Board of Directors attending were encouraged by the support received for the Club Enhancement project.  I felt that the dialogue and communication from members was strong and that everyone had an opportunity to fully inquire about details of the project. While there were varying degrees of agreement (and disagreement) I felt that most members in attendance understood the plan in greater detail and understood that our plan was definitely proposed in order to promote the health and welfare of our club and our property values. I felt that the majority of members in attendance were in support of our plan.

NEXT STEPS
Our next action will take place on Saturday, September 20 when we will conduct our annual meeting and at that time the Club Enhancement Project will be voted on by the membership.  We strongly encourage you to attend in person or in the event you are unable to attend we ask you to vote by proxy.  You may appoint a board member or other WLCC club member to vote in your absence.

Please remember to send in your proxy if you are not going to be at the meeting on Sept 20th to vote. Please contact Kelly at 828-680-9771 with any questions.

(*****Note To WLCC members who may also be Amenities members: There were questions asked regarding the relationship between WLCC and the WLPOA Amenities program.  Those questions were deferred as they did not have relevance to WLCC plan.  A few days ago there was a communication from the WLPOA regarding a plan for a Fitness center at the Amenities area. In conversation with Amenities officials it was noted and explained that the potential plan for a fitness center there should in no way compete or be compared to the WLCC fitness center in scale or function.  WLCC has planned a new fully equipped fitness center and the Amenities plan should not influence your decision on WLCC plans as the Amenities plans are pending and incomplete.  It is WLCC intentions to communicate with Amenities officials the full scope of our project and to also promote potential synergies between the two organizations.)

As your club manager I would to personally thank all of you for your continued support of this very exciting project and one we believe will move WLCC along to becoming a vibrant and exciting place to belong.  If you were unable to attend the town hall meeting,  the Board of Directors or myself would be happy to meet with you to answer any of your questions or concerns.
