Love Letters is a play about Andy and Melissa, each born into a prosperous, patrician world between the two world wars. Writing letters brings them together; it also keeps them apart. The play is rich in insights, not only into their unique characters, but also into what it was liketo live in the up-tight world into which they were born.
Featuring
Richard Jennings
Richard Jennings is a professional actor and professor. A member of both Actors Equity
and Screen Actors Guild, he has appeared on stage and screen from off-Broadway
to Hollywood. He also directed the program in acting at the University
of South Carolina (Columbia) for 25 years.
Gwynne Beneke
Gwynne Beneke moved to the mountains of WNC two years ago. An actor and classically
trained singer, as well as professor emeritus in English literature, she was cast as Hannah in the ’07
production of The Spitfire Grill at ACT and appeared with The Montford Park Players in Henry
VIII.
