Member Passing - Nicki Lloyd

Nicki Lloyd

Dear WLCC family:

With deep sadness I must inform the Club of the passing of Nicki Lloyd. As you know, Bill and Nicki Lloyd have enjoyed being  long time members of our club, and although Nicki’s poor health has kept them in Daytona these past few years they always have felt very much apart of the WlCC family.

Nicki’s love of the mountains sprang from her childhood in the mountains of West Virginia. There, as the second youngest of twelve children, Nicki developed her exceptional vocal talent both in church and in the one room school house where she and her eleven siblings received their early educations.

After high school Nicki worked for the FBI in Washington DC. Her vocal career was launched upon winning a major singing competition.  Soon after Roy Acuff chose her  perform on The Grand Ole Opry. What followed was a successful singing career as Nicki Naylan, The Golden Girl.

Bill and Nicki met when  her  starring act played at a famous club on Daytona Beach.  Soon the two formed their own duet as one of the happiest married couples I have ever witnessed.
Nicki has been a great friend and role model . She will be missed !
