Re: General
Manager
As you know, our Club has been operating without a
general manager for nearly three years.
Jerry Isom has acted in that capacity, and has done a truly remarkable
job. But the time has come to begin a
transition that will lead to a permanent person in that role. The Board of Directors at its October regular
meeting voted to place Bobby Anglin, our Club golf pro, in a “mentoring”
program with Jerry for the rest of this season and all of 2013. He would work with an experienced person, and
at the same time it would allow the Board and the membership to see if he is a
good “fit.” He is currently taking the appropriate on-line courses to prepare
him for that task. If all works out, and
Bobby agrees, he would become the full-time general manager beginning with the
2014 season. All of you know what a
great organizer, teacher, and person he is.
We are really lucky to have him, and I personally have no doubt that he
will be “the perfect fit.”
