Our New Club Blog

The Goal* Make club happenings, and breaking news available to members in a timely, efficient, and reliable 21st century format, anytime of the year.
* Promote the community in ways previously unavailable.

Advantages of a Blog vs Print, Telephone & Email
* This bulletin board is on a free web host, there is no cost to WLCC, beyond the time it takes to compose and publish a notification.
* It can therefore be updated at a moment's notice, by any authorized user, from any PC in the world.
*Items are logically archived for future reference, thus eliminating painful searches through the email's or PC's of who knows how many people for an answer.
*Blogs are public & transparent.

*Auto Email Subscriptions
* You can use this free email subscription.
* A variety of other free subscription methods with hyperlinks have been placed in the left hand sidebar.
* Use a bookmark if you prefer.
* As such, the vagaries of US Mail delivery and forwarding, the financial costs of printing, postage, stuffing envelopes, and repetitive phone questions can be greatly reduced.
* This decreases a significant work load from staff, frees those resources for the enhancement of the club in more meaningful ways, and offers several means by which to promote the community and revenue.

Matters of Community and Club Promotion
* Increase the speed, reliability, and quality of communication, current events, and policies to members for the betterment of WLCC.
* With simple updates as events draw near, this bulletin board could build excitement and increase revenue for events. Imagine such comments as, "You know, we had forgotten/didn't know this was happening tonight until we saw the update."

More Community and Promotional Aspects
* By allowing readers to add comments, a blog provides a voice for membership, and feedback or suggestions to management and the board not previously available.
* By way of comments, many boards like this function as virtual gathering and discussion places for dispersed communities.
* Comments here are anonymous and will be moderated before being published, according to this policy.
* With the nature of search engine algorhithms, it is fair to say that a blog like this one has a greater ability over a website to attract new members or residents.
* Over time, as content is added this board will demonstrate an organization that is vital, active, engaged, and promote a sense of belonging and connectedness that more traditional, more costly, and less timely methods cannot convey.
* Provide a living, breathing "brochure" for prospective members in a way no website or printed material can accomplish.

Thanks,
