Hospice Golf Tournament and Fun on the Mountain

Mark your calendars for July 15-16, 2011 for the Wolf Laurel Benefit and Silent and Live Auction for Hospice of Madison County. Last year we raised over $50,000, bringing the total contributed to over $750,000 since 1987.

Wolf Laurel is the single largest contributor to this organization providing care and comfort to the terminally ill in Madison County. This year, the Wolf Laurel County Club is once again hosting this community fundraising event.

This year, even before the Golf Tournament, we have other events at WLCC supporting Hospice. Open to all.

Casino Royal at WLCC, held on June 17 has already been a success.

Golf Tournament:
*Friday, July 15 - Golf for all Wolf Laurel residents/guests. Captain’s Choice, Shotgun start at 9 am. Refreshments.

*Saturday, July 16 - Golf open to all. Captain’s Choice, with tee times starting at 9 am. Box lunch & refreshments.

- Farmer’s Market with fresh produce, baked goods, from 10 am - 2 pm. Garden Club Plant Sale @ Farmer's Market Details.

- Silent Auction of unique items, memorabilia, artwork, crafts, jewelry, gift certificates, etc. from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Live auction of valuable items and Wall of Wine to follow:

- Dinner at 7 pm.

We will also have Raffles for a Basket of Cheer and other prizes, and a 50/50 drawing.

Cost: One Day of Golf - $75, Two Days of Golf - $100

Auction & Saturday Dinner – Separately Ticketed Item $40, Dinner for Children 12 and under - $20. Contact Michele Hunt for reservations and payment information if you did not receive an invitation at 689.9092

Wolf Laurel Benefit Silent and Live Auction –The Wolf Laurel Auction Committee is looking for nice items for the Silent and Live Auction on July 16th, 2011.

* Is there a “regift” item in your closet?

An update from Mort Gardner (co-owner of The Silk Purse) from New York and Knoxville:

"Our NY market trip was simply fabulous!! Most of the vendors we shopped and left purchase orders with have shipped us complete to the piece. Only a few more to come in. And oh boy did we get the prices this trip. GREAT deals and we’ll be offering these to the Fashion Show."

"Our store is built around separates that work together. So we’ll be bringing loads of skirts, skimmers, capri’s and pants to go with wonderful item tops, printed cardigan sweaters, fashionable mesh pieces, jackets galore and on and on. This has been the best dress season we’ve had in years so we’ll cover you up here as well as the neatest pant and capri sets you ever seen."

Judy’s (Judy Gardner - co-owner of The Silk Purse) strength in our store has always been accessories. We’ll have a huge supply of statement making jewelry and scarves plus handbags to pop your eyes out."

"All and all, we feel like we’re ready…bringing TWO vans full."

As a reminder, beverages will be served from 11:30 - 11:45 and modeling will start at 11:45.

Demonstrating the power of using multiple proof readers, we previously failed to note that Casino Night, June 17, is open to all Wolf Laurel residents and their guests.

Thanks to Edmee's email today, existing online info has been corrected and Meg is using her sharpie on the posted fliers at the club.
