Winter Program: December Calendar and Procedures

Warm Winter Weekends at The Wolf

Effective December 1, the only operating telephone number will be 828 680 9771. All business will be conducted on that line.

Typical Fridays in December
*There will be a $2.00 cover charge on Fridays.
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM, no reservations needed, pending weather.
*We will be hosting “Fridays at Five”. Bring an appetizer to share and bring your friends! We’ll have a variety of entertainment including movies, music DVD’S, perhaps some Karaoke or Game nights. Share your suggestions, leave us a comment!

Typical Saturdays in December
*There will be a $3.00 cover charge on Saturdays.
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM, no reservations needed, pending weather.
*We will be serving Dinner from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
*We will need 15 reservations by 5 p.m. on any given Thursday at 680-9771 in order to serve dinner on a Saturday. The Lounge however will be open regardless, pending weather.

*Piano Bar with Freddie Buck from 6:30-8:30
*Freddie will play at no charge, but gratuities are appreciated.

Saturday Dec. 6
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM.
*6:00 PM until 7:30 PM: Lasagna Dinner

Friday Dec.12
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM: Fridays at Five; Movie Night, TBA.

Saturday Dec.13
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM.
*6:00 PM until 7:30 PM: Chili and Cornbread Dinner

Friday Dec.19
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 Pm: Fridays at Five; Holiday Party and Carols, bring a special treat!

Saturday Dec.20
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM.
*6:00 PM until 7:30 PM: Stuffed Cabbage Dinner

Friday Dec.26: Club Closed

Saturday Dec.27
*Lounge Opens at 5:00 PM.
*6:00 PM until 7:30 PM: Roast Chicken Dinner

NEW YEARS EVE Party
Prime Rib Buffet

Meals: All meals include entrée, appropriate vegetables or salad, rolls or bread and dessert.

Payments: We can accept cash or checks only, no member charges will be available during Winter Operations.

Cancellations: As soon as a decision is made, cancellations will be posted almost immediately on this blog. Outgoing message at 828 680 9771 will be updated almost immediately.

Here it is, the last week of operations before we begin the Winter Program.

The Course: The weather has been unusually fickle. The original November Calendar calls for a Turkey Day Tourney on Friday, please stay in touch with us at 680 9771 or 680 9772 for the decision.

Wednesday Nov 26
* 5:00 PM : The Lounge opens and features half price on all drinks, last time this year!
*6:00 PM: Dining Room opens.

Thursday Nov 27
*12 Noon-4:00 PM: Thanksgiving at WLCC. Full details here, we will be seating on the hour.

Friday Nov 28
*Possible Turkey Day Tourney, see above.
*5:00 PM: The Lounge offers featured martinis at $5.99.
*6:00 PM: Dining Room opens.

Saturday Nov 29
*5:00 PM : The Lounge features any after dinner drink at $4.95.
*6:00 PM: Dining and closing festivities before beginning the Winter Program, next weekend.

Sunday Nov 30
*10:00 AM-1:00 PM: Sunday Breakfast Brunch. Click here for the new prices etc.

Winter Program: The Preliminaries

Wow, our second year for Winter Operations. Since the weather lately has been suggesting winter, it seemed like a good time to put out some preliminary details.

Making advance reservations will be the key in order to repeat our financial success from last season.

The Week Ahead

Yep, no Sunday Brunch today because of the snow.

So, we look ahead to the coming week, Nov 18 thru 24. We will be open for dining on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Brunch. The week includes a big screen movie night, seafood specials, and a Southern buffet.

Wednesday November 19--Movie Night
*Beginning at 5:00 PM: Half price drinks in The Lounge.
*Beginning at 6:00 PM: Modified Bar Menu for dining.
*Beginning Somewhere Around 7:00PM: Big Screen Movie Night, featuring a fine movie you may not have heard of: For The Boys , (1991), starring Bette Midler, James Caan, and George Seagal, among others.

Midler garnered a nomination for Best Actress here while singing standards in a very nice film about two entertainers who make their name doing USO shows in WW II, and beyond. George Seagal does a fine turn as a joke writer/manager.

Clarification: Food Minima For 2008

This is a clarification for minimum food charges in 2008 in answer to some questions we have received.

As we are officially open this year for an extra month, until November 30, minimum food calculations will not be reconciled until the next statement.

As an aside, we would remind everyone to please let us know your winter mailing preferences. Here are the details and contact people.

*The Lounge and Dining Room will be open, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings only, BUT, without the need for advanced reservations, 48 hours ahead of time, as previously indicated here.

*Sunday Brunch will run as usual from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM.

*Please make reservations, it is actually more important than when we have large events, in order to best serve you while still controlling costs.

Daily Drink Specials
Tuesday: Imported beer just $2.99.
Friday: Martini Specials; any featured Martini for $5.99.
Saturday: Just $4.95 for any after dinner drink.
